Monday Morning at the Research Office

Monday morning rambling with a new idea, but not if the currency keeps rising.
Odd how the strong Baht currency is perhaps, just now, the biggest single potential unsettling uncertainty to the Thai market. But I think this will soon be tamed and so the SET should rocket higher...

I for one believe with these 3 now absent, it will pave the SET to higher levels -before year end.

Investors were wise not to bail out, we surely have not!

In the realpolitic curse of recent events the Thai currency remained relatively stable giving up barely 1% last week vs. the more then 8% previous rise (against the US$), since the beginning of this year.

Here is an update on some of my thoughts as of early August 2006.
Within a week all 2Q earnings will be released and so will give us further insights.

I remain fundementally positive but do not expect any great bull market soon. Still, I think our selections...

While a new SET low may well yet materialize (?), I view the current sluggish Thai market an excellent entry point for long term investment capital.  I also think that by the end of the year will  witness a catch-up and there will be time for a "safe landing".  By...

The US stock market was supposed to come out of its 6 year bear market and break out, but this was not meant to be.  I for one am not surprised and over the past years here often expressed  my bearish view on US stocks.

Yet the US market remains...
