Unit 2:  Why Become and Stay a Member at Thaistocks.com?

Brokers can and do have at times conflicts of interest. Thaistocks.com never does as we are affiliated with no-one and never receive any commissions, nor have advertisers at our site.  My sole interest here is helping individual investors in an unbiased way, beyond brokerage reports daily graphs and the usual stock tips -besides rumors.  I am fundamental analysis driven with 40 years of stock market investor on-hand experience.  I deeply focus on investor values, growth in earnings progress and high dividends in viable industries, not volume leaders with fancy graphs.  Over 30 years of successful besides professional on location investor experience, not academic "arm-chair investing" like some others.  If you are looking for rumor stocks or "hot tips" surely Thaistocks.com is not for you.

My main aim and objective is always to help (mostly) individual investors in achieving superior returns along with prudent risk, over months sometimes years. To assist them through timely added value insights, articles, besides our high quality web-lounge comments which I monitor just about daily.  I will personally answer e-mails within 24 hours send by members.  In a short time you will gain a much better understanding of the whole Thai stock market investment process and why there are some superior investment opportunities to be considered and how to have a working knowledge around it all, post setting up your broker account.  While also being made aware of some of the traps.  Membership here is very likely a good investment and for sure, a great way to learn more about stock market investing, through my long experience.

My original motivation starting thaistocks.com in 1997 was due to the ridiculous low market pricing/valuation of many smaller and mid  listed Thai firms which nevertheless had/have superior earnings stability, high dividend yields and growth rates. Its been a long investment success story ever since and documented here all along!  Years 2017 to 2019 however was a set back.

The Thai stock market is far from price efficient and I have long documented that even during more challenging times, long term value investors can make good -and at times substantial- % returns.  The fact is that many local brokers and institutional investors miss out on some of the best values, strictly and only due to their obsession with the large cap stocks which trade in the millions of shares everyday.  Fact is we individuals don't have this handicap, nor do we suffer from biases as our interests are aligned.

In the past 25 years I visited over 150 companies in person regularly and then share my timely insights with members.  Free registered users can read for free select articles from the past, but the best/timeliest and our member-lounge postings are open only to contributing members. Company visits tamed down when Covit-19 hit, buy I cultivated many contacts along the way.

Members and non-members at times send in comments, critiques and/or ideas; from which I choose what is most relevant and interesting to all our members whose mails I answer.

I utilize my over 30 years of stock market investment experience in Thailand to provide all members with accurate information source upon which they can make their own investment decisions around.  While my views may read different at times I am solely motivated to objectively share with members my long on location professional experience which is my full time endeavor.

For nearly 25 years through Thaistocks.com I strive to make a difference by sharing my ideas and viewpoints all in a most objective and unbiased way. The long documented track record to our member roster speaks for itself.  All contributing Members received instant auto mails, all at once, on any new article, insight, comment, or member-forum posting.

I seldom publish free timely material for all to see, nor do I write for any major newspaper or otherwise.  I rarely if ever answer an inquiry if the person or reporter is not a current member.  Including the Asian Wall Street Journal, who some years ago wanted to interview me without subscribing.  I declined.

I spend 6-7 hours every day, reviewing research from all the various sources & brokers in Thai and English language. Then select the best and add my own value, besides other trusted sources.

Specific features that TS.com members receive:

  • A regularly updated present model portfolio to document how selections of mostly mid and small-cap companies can outperform the local SET index benchmark which is heavily influenced by banks, communication and energy companies.
  • Regular featured value added articles on and around all aspects to Thai SET investing.
  • Newly designed state of the art web site using the latest web publishing technology for clarity, speed and easy reading.  A search engine can locate within seconds specific topics of interest from over 24 years of publishing at this site. (Thaistocks.com was founded in April 1997, as so is the longest continued running web site in Thailand).
  • An active member-forum with regular quality postings but our specific market comments can be meant as a recommendation as only you know.  Knowledge and viewpoints is so exchanged from other seasoned members and evaluated by myself.  98% of our contributing members renew every year, some for 18 years.
  • In person company visit (less since Covit-19)  reports and then objectively shared with members through insightful articles including pictures/graphs/tables.
  • Timely e-mail contact with me through a member lounge or private e-mails on short questions, prompt reply guaranteed.
  • Focus on individual investors point of view, not large institutions, most media is not geared for individual investors so will often lack any focus on the real local stock values or other insights.  Disharmony of interest is ever dominant -but not here!
  • A voice for responsible individual investors, not day traders.  We will -and have in the past- exposed poor broker practices, point out blatant mistakes in financial articles or by analysis, and explain local investor nuances gone uncovered or distorted by the press -or brokers.  Like some time ago when the Asian Wall Street Journal wrote the SET was at a 52 week low, when in fact the Thai index was up some 60%, from the 52 week low.  Or recently when the Financial Times suggested Chines tourism dwindling when in fact it was soaring back then.  I will also point out if a company makes misleading comments to SET investors to me or otherwise, if it catches my attention.  Or a CEO from a major brokerage firm wrongly explaining why no joint broker accounts are offered..etc.
  • Contributing membership here has since its inception in 1997 proven to be the first step to wise investments over time. Write me a short introduction to get invited to join, if you want so.

Best Regards,

Paul A. Renaud
