Our active member lounge monitored daily.  An example posting.

Here is a recent exchange in our active member lounge, where I answer questions 24 hours a day. The question posed was do I know a list of stocks listed by dividend yields.  I.e the higher the current dividend yield, the higher on the list.

This is how I answered:

Stocks sorted by dividends, here I get this from my Thai brokers, as they should provide you with this sort of basic stat's. I don't think this is published at the SET? Remember, such lists are always backward looking as the future dividends can/will be different, then the past. Also, cautious trusting the local newspapers on this, as there are often mistakes.

Broker Tisco publishes a great stat's booklet every 2 weeks as I recall, its called "SnapShot". Send me a mail and I will forward this to you once. Then take a look at their page 31 for such a this list, its a great tool.

To which this member wrote back with the following comment/question.

"I am puzzled. Dividend yields should be the same never mind which source one consults, math should be the same. An example: TISCO states ASP 2009 dividend as 10.5%, Bua Luang state 4.80%, ZMICO: 3.80%, the SET site: also 4.80%. How come the discrepancies? "

Nope sorry they are not, its called "mistakes". The mistakes can occur in the dividend amount shown or the math and/or both. And they can be frequent and many, the trouble is one assumes' this is not so. I found Tisco's "Snapshots" to have the least, and the newspapers the most. So many don’t this? :) But don't feel bad as many investors here don't account for this occurring and so are mislead time and again. Sometimes I almost think half the expat community here is in the dark, when it comes to the SET?

As just one example, for some time the TFUND showed a lower dividend yield then it actually paid, as seasoned members know. I pointed this out to the exchange and Ticon but just got noise and a garbled response which did not make sense to me.
