SET larger cap's now attractive -and some evidence from the past.

Some people say they don't believe much of what a web page claims from its past, as it could all be made up. Not so, we answer.

Reflections at mid year

Unlike a newspaper or magazine from past days, which can show what exactly was stated back then, on any web, site these critics claim, it could all be altered or changed around.

To this I must protest as here we have never altered any article (other then perhaps an English typo mistake), once it was posted. And this cynical view is just not truly so -due to a massive site which archieves many web sites' past postings.

Just take a look at http://web.archive.org . Here is a gigantic US government site which keeps track whom posted what and when, through its "way back machine".

Open this site and insert any web site URL to see what it archived from the past. Chances are you will find it as ts.com is found there. Then chose a date and take a look. While not all dates are available, many are.

Below is an example from Ts.com, as posted on March 1 2000* -and there so archived. Back then I very positively wrote about a big cap stock, Banpu. A key selection at the time which soared 30 times in value since, plus dividends.

While for sure there have been in hindsight poor selections here, to state I only write about smaller cap's -and that only Thai smaller cap's stocks are huge winners, are both fallacies.

With the SET below 750 just now, there are no doubt some huge bargains among larger cap SET stocks, not only the smaller growth companies I like to dwell on.  Over the next few days I will here add a list of 5-7 larger cap stocks which I think have much potential and which deserve inclusion into any rational long term model portolio, just and only on the basis of the huge Thai market correction we have had in the past several weeks. I for one think its overdone.  Members keep posted.

Best Regards,

Paul A. Renaud.
