While we did a comprehensive search, please feel free to make any suggestions on interesting/related sites you may have found on your own, so we can build on this large list.

It is important to note that the reviewer has no knowledge of the Thai language. All reviews of Thai language sites were done on a best efforts basis, and I apologize in advance if I made any mistakes concerning inability to comprehend Thai language websites.
1. Site: Philip Securities Thailand URL: http://www.phillip.co.th & http://www.poems.co.th/
Description: The POEMS site (Philip’s Online Electronic Mart System) is a part of Philip’s main website. On the POEMS site, there are the typical market statistics, plus free access to a daily commentary, weekly roundup, technical commentary and a recommendation list that are all updated daily (with the exception of the weekly roundup)

Review: This site is recommended for investors. The site provides daily technical and fundamental analysis of the SET as well as selected individual stocks free of charge.
2. Site: BoA Asset Management URL: http://www.boaam.com/eng/about/compinfo.shtml
Description: This company is a large mutual fund company. The site does not have any useful investor information to investors other than the information provided by the company on its own funds.

Languages: Thai and English
Review: Unless investors are interested in BoA’s mutual funds, this site is not recommended.
3. Site: SCB Asset Management URL: http://www.scbam.com/default.asp?l=eng
Description: This site is much like BoA, the main focus of the site is promoting SCB mutual funds.

Languages: Thai and English
Review: Site is not recommended, there is no relevant information on the site.
4. Site: ABN AMRO Asia Securities URL: http://inv3.ast.co.th/
Description: Membership is needed to gain further access into the site were daily research is posted.
Free-site or Pay-site: Have to have an account with ABN AMRO to gain access.
Languages: Thai and English
Review: Unable to review without membership access. The parts of the website that were available without membership were outdated, for example, the Y2K Readiness Report was still posted on the site.
5. Site: Asset Plus Securities Company URL: http://www.assetplus.com
Description: This site does have a research section, but it only describes how research is done at the company. No research is provided on the site. An account at the company is necessary to gain access to the member site
Free-site or Pay-site: Free site but with no relevant information
Languages: English
Review: Not recommended to investors who do not have accounts at the company, no relevant information available on the site.
6. Site: Kim Eng Securities Thailand URL: http://www.kimeng.co.th
Description: This site provides a large amount of original research for free. There is a daily research note focusing in on fundamental analysis of the market and individual stocks. There is also the newly opened site titled kelive.com, which provides ‘live market analysis’ throughout each trading day. This is one of the most comprehensive research sites available free to investors in this section.

Review: This site is highly recommended, it is a good free source of timely market information and research.
7. Site: Peregrine Online URL: http://www.peregrineonline.co.th
Description: This is an online trading broker that offers the bare basics in terms of market data. There isn’t any proper research on the site, just a lot of market data, quotes and a few news articles.

Review: A poorly designed site with a dark blue background that makes it difficult to see any links at all. This site is not recommended, any of the market data on the site is available in many other places on the internet for free and presented in a more appealing and in-depth manner.
8. Site: Nomura Securities URL: http://www.cns.co.th/CNET/home.asp
Description: An account at the company is needed to access its research, market watch, web board, company information and historical prices. There is no relevant information or analysis available on the website free of charge.

Review: No research or market data is available for non-members of the site, this site is not recommended to investors.
9. Site: Seamico Securities Thailand URL: http://www.seamico.com
Description: Seamico restricts access t o its research center to account holders only. The free part of the site contains the usual market statistics, news headlines and a daily market wrap-up.

Review: Very little information is available for free to investors, this site is not recommended.
10. Site: Tisco Asset Management URL: http://www.tiscoasset.com
Description: Site does provide a weekly market commentary for investors. Commentary is approximately one page long. More research is available, but in Thai language only.

Review: A limited amount of research is available to investors who can’t read Thai (a weekly commentary that does not provide extensive research). This site is not recommended.

Description: This online-broker provides a couple of small research reports available for free each day on its website. The reports are in Thai, so they are of no use to investors who can’t read Thai. The reports are usually only one page long.

Description: This unappealing website requires an account membership to access its ‘Investor Pro’ and ‘Research’ sections of the website. The only free content is the usual market statistics and some news headlines.

Description: This website is designed to help sell and promote AJF’s mutual funds. No relevant information is available.

Description: This site does provide some Thai language research in its ‘1 a.m. club’, but the latest report was from August 2002 with the other reports coming from 2000.

15. Site: Bangkok First Investment and Trust URL: http://www.bfit.co.th/default.asp
Description: A sure sign that most of the information of this site would probably be outdated was the large Y2K compliant banner on the home page. None of the links on the home page worked, so essentially this was a one page advertisement for Bangkok First Investment and Trust.

Description: This website is designed to help sell and promote Aberdeen’s mutual funds. No relevant information is available.

Description: Kiatnakin provides daily in-house research in the Thai language. A daily commentary (6 pages) and a technical analysis/strategy report (1 page) is available to all users.

Description: Like so many websites before it, this site only offers its daily research in the Thai language. Five to seven different reports are available for each trading day.

Description: Another site that only publishes its research in Thai. There are numerous research reports available, over seventy were published in March alone.

Description: This site does research reports and statistical data in the English language, but it has not been updated since 1999. Links to ‘Stock tips’ and ‘Special reports’ are broken.

Description: This site does have a market commentary link on its homepage, but this link is not working. There is no other relevant material on the site.

Description: This site does not have any research on it, and seems to be focused on attracting investors into the company. There is a commentary section titled ‘Dr. Stock’s News’, but this has not been updated in a month, is fairly short, and contains references to gardening.

Description: The BOI website contains analysis on different sectors within the Thai economy. The most useful information on the site can be found in the ‘Doing Business in Thailand’ and ‘Publication’ areas of the site.
2. Site: Thailand Development Research Institute URL: http://info.tdri.or.th/
Description: The TRDI site is similar to the BOI site in that it has research on different sectors of the Thai economy. Broader research is available as well. The ‘Research Reports’ section of the site is in Thai only, but the ‘Macro Forecast’, ‘Key Economic Indicators’, and other links lead to original English research conducted by the TRDI.
3. Site: Ministry of Finance URL: http://www2.mof.go.th
Description: The Ministry of Finance has an interesting and extensive site that is full of economic information and analysis. There is a wealth of information, and it appears that the site is updated regularly. This site is an excellent information source for investors looking for economic research and analysis.
4. Site: Stock Exchange of Thailand URL: http://www.set.or.th/en/index.html
Description: The SET page is a bit disappointing. The only useful links available at the site is a company directory and an up-to-date newsroom. Market data is available, but is inadequate compared to other free sites.
5. Site: International Monetary Fund - Thailand URL: http://www.imf.org/external/country/THA/index.htm
Description: This site is Thailand’s profile page in the IMF family of websites. There is a limited amount of information available here, some statistics on Thailand’s involvement with the IMF and some articles where both the IMF and Thailand are involved.
6. Site: Market for Alternative Investment URL: http://www.set.or.th/set/mai/en/index.jsp
Description: The MAI is a subsidiary of the SET that aids small to medium sized enterprises (SME’s) in obtaining funding. In terms of useful information being available on its website, there is company information and recent news releases available on the companies listed on the MAI. This site would be useful for investors if they are interested in investing in one of the SME’s listed on the MAI exchange.
7. Site: World Bank Office - Thailand URL: http://www.worldbank.or.th
Description: The Thailand chapter of the World Bank contains some information and analysis of Thailand’s economy in the ‘Thailand Briefing’ section of the website.
8. Site: Thai Rating and Information Services URL: http://www.tris.co.th/
Description: The TRIS is a debt rating service that can be of important use to investors who want to access the financial condition of the companies they may want to invest in. Unfortunately, the most useful information is only available to paid subscribers ($500 to $1200 US per year), but there is still sufficient information available on credit rating decisions available at no charge.
9. Site: Bank of Thailand URL: http://www.bot.or.th/BOThomepage/index/index_e.asp
Description: The Bank of Thailand provides much of the same information as the Ministry of Finance, and is just as useful. Excellent research on different sectors of the economy is available.
10. Site: Thai Capital Network URL: http://www.thaicapnet.com/english/default.asp
Description: There is little useful information available on this page.
11. Site: Thai Bond Dealing Center URL: http://www.thaibdc.or.th
Description: This site appears to have a lot of useful information, but a lot of it is only accessible to members (it wasn’t clear how to become a member). A large amount of the free access information was in Thai. The usefulness of this site is minimized for users who are unable to read Thai.
12. Site: Thai Securities and Exchange Commission URL: http://www.sec.or.th/secen1/index.php
Description: This site is full of regulatory information that can aid the level of education of investors. In terms of useful market data or analysis this site is lacking.
